This Company is one of the UK`s leading support services and construction companies, employing over 50,000 people. They have annual revenue of around Ј4bn and operations across Britain and in Europe, Canada, the Middle East and Caribbean.
They are a UK market leader in commercial building, with exceptional sustainability and Health and Safety credentials. They are involved with challenging and complex projects in the residential, retail, office, health, education, defence and secure sectors, working under a variety of procurement routes, including design and build contracts and partnering.
This post requires the management of design on a wide range of projects including Education, Healthcare and mix use developments, typically from bid through to completion. Projects will be undertaken in the Yorkshire region with an average value of Ј35 million each. Successful applicant must ensure all aspects of the Design Management procedures are implemented accurately.
You will be required to manage in the production of the contractors proposals, ensuring they are completed, unambiguous, and have been reviewed by the bid team and have been updated to include all post tender negotiations. It is crucial that all design deliverables are reviewed to establish they are within budget, are fully co-ordinated and are buildable. The Design Manager must also design on site with the assistance of other site based resources through implementing the design management procedures to ensure the timely production of information.
